Introduction

 

Here is your first online class. Today we’ll be looking at the language used to describe doing and taking up sports and other activities, countable and uncountable nouns, as well as taking a look at some extreme sports.

You’ll have a reading exercise for homework.

All the answers to the exercises are included at the end of the lesson.

 

Activity 1 — Sports Vocabulary (20 mins)

Complete exercises 1 to 3 on page 56 of the book/handout. Use a dictionary for help!

Activity 02 — Speaking (10-15 mins)

Now record yourself describing the advantages and disadvantages of doing the sports in the spidergram on page 56 in the book/handout. Use a recorder app on your phone to do this. You can e-mail the audio to your teacher.
